The Chihuahuan Desert: photos by Wayne Pope

This narrated slide show features birds native to the hot, arid climate of the Chihuahuan Desert in southern New Mexico and west Texas. Keynote species include: White-winged Dove, American Kestrel, Phainopepla, Pyrrhuloxia, Greater Roadrunner, Curve-billed Thrasher and Green-tailed Towhee. Video clips will demonstrate the unique behavior and songs of these species. The speaker will include tips on how to improve digital bird photography."
